Candy Apple Trifle

Updated: Apr 6

This is like Snickers and a Candy Apple had a lovechild! Seriously! It's so addicting and refreshing too! This dessert is always a hit whereever I take it. It's super easy to put together too and the best part is: it's a No-Bake recipe!

This can be made in one large Trifle bowl or as small individual servings.  I recommend serving it the same day you make it for the best flavor and presentation.

This is a recipe from my second cookbook "The Saint's Plate & The Sinners Dinner" available here on my website or on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Candy Apple Trifle

2-8oz packages of cream cheese, softened

1 Tablespoon vanilla extract

2C Powdered Sugar

16oz Cool Whip

5 Granny Smith Apples, cored & cubed into bite sized pieces

7 Snickers bars, chopped

1 jar ice cream topping Caramel sauce

4 Tablespoons chopped peanuts

In a large mixing bowl using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth.  Using a low speed, add the vanilla extract and add in the powdered sugar 1/2C at a time.  When well mixed, fold in the cool whip

Next, Stir in the chopped apples leaving a few out to use on the top as garnish.  Stir in 1 C of the chopped snickers.  Spoon 1/3 of the mixture into the bottom of a trifle bowl or clear glass serving dish. Sprinkle with a few more of the snickers around the edges and drizzle entire layer with caramel sauce.   Continue to layer into 2-3 layers depending upon the size of your dish.   Top with the remaining snickers and apples for garnish, drizzle with remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with chopped peanuts

Place in the fridge or 2 hours to chill or until ready to serve.
